After defeating every original trainer, you’ll be able to take on the gym leader. Blaine uses Fire type Pokémon. Magcargo will use Sunny Day to change the weather for 5 turns and Smog for a 40% chance of poisoning the target. Magmar will use Confuse Ray to confuse the target and Thunderpunch for a 10% chance of paralyzing the target. Rapidash will use Quick Attack to strike first and Flare Blitz to deal a lot of damage at the expense of its own HP. After the battle, you’ll receive the Volcano Badge and a TM50 (Overheat). Overheat deals massive damage but sharply reduces the user’s Special Attack stat after it deals damage.
