Matt Harrigan, the founder and CEO of a San Diego cyber-security firm called Packetsled, has resigned after a drunken election-night Facebook rant threatening to kill President-elect Donald Trump. The profanity-laced rant quickly made it into the Twitter-os-phere and went viral around the world. Although efforts were made to erase the evidence, The Daily Mail in Britain actually found low-rez images of the rampage and posted them. [insert] “I’m going to kill the president. Elect.” “Bring it secret service.” “… getting a sniper rifle and perching myself where it counts. Find a bedroom in the whitehouse that suits you mother xxxxx I’ll find you.” Well, the U.S. Secret Service did bring it. They showed up at Harrigan’s Del Mar, California home for a little 2-hour discussion. Making such threats against the President or his successor can result in felony charges under US law.
