This is quite interesting. Let's compare small quarter waves right up to 1-3/4 wave antennas including the famous 5/8. Why are large verticals sometimes not as good. And why they are sometimes better? You might like this. Callum.

Digital mixers are VERY economical these days. I walk you through the Behringer X-Air 18 which is what I use for YouTube and my band. I show you the basic features, how they work - and how and what a monitor mix is. Previously, I took you through a "channel Strip" here: https://youtu.be/7Yp678eniBA. Sit back. Have fun. Enjoy. Callum.

Today, we are starting slightly later at 13:00 local (12:00 UTC). SOme 40m, 20m and who knows, maybe up higher still. One day we'll do some VHF too - but I had an accident with my VHF coax! Using callsign M0XXT and logging with N1MM software. 73, Callum.

This is my regular slot.. I *will* be going to 20m (and upwards) after I've had a warm-up on 40m. Callum.

The purpose of the 11:00 Friday NET is to give some of the older guys and gals an opportunity to call in and generate a feeling of warmth in the community. The stream starts earlier than 11:00 and is a free-for-all but at 11:00, we'll go a little bit formal and start the check-in. Unlike last year I will venture on 40m or 20m after the NET to catch some longer distance stations. Have a great day, Callum.

I used Arctic Grade DX10 for these radials for my eXtreme Nebula multi-band vertical currently in development. These 45 x 1/8th wave radials are equivalent to 22 x 1/4 radials for 80m; 5 x wavelengths - and a whopping 10 wavengths on 40m. Heck.. that'll give me 20 wavelengths of radials on 20m! And on the higher bands, I'm aiming for 5/8th elements so it should be pretty good! I am very excited about this antenna! Callum. M0MCX
