Mariajosé has taken up skateboarding and Aubrey took a gnarly spill. We spent a beautiful day at the skate park in San Diego because the ladies really wanted to "shred!" The next morning we decided to make a day trip to a secret little spot called 5 palms that not many of the locals even know is there. This was clothing optional, so we chose not to film out of privacy and respect to the people there, and well needless to say we definitely wore our bathing suits. After seeing our subfloor, there was absolutely NO WAY we were letting it stay in this bus. It almost makes me want to make a video dedicated to showing you exactly why you shouldn't leave it in, regardless of how good the excuse you make sounds.
Other than that, these floor rails were a massive pain in the ass and I know we could have gotten under the bus for some of them, but I'm too stiff to be on the floor anymore than I have to. There are about a million YouTube videos showing completely different methods to remove these rails, but I can tell you with certainty, a plasma cutter to melt the head off of the bolt is the ONLY and the MOST EFFICIENT way to remove them.

Intro to VANLIFE... We almost got SCAMMED trying to buy a SPRINTER VAN online

We left you nearly a month ago with no true update regarding where we are in the process of buying a sprinter to make our next home on wheels. Truthfully, it's been a difficult process. We've done so much research about vans and spent a ton of time debating which van we should go after. Our options have been relatively limited in Nashville and we could always go and buy a new van from a dealership, but that defeats the purpose of us trying to show how this can be done within reach for most people.
So we turned to the internet. Autotempest.com took us to craigslist and craigslist took us to facebook market place, next thing we knew we had found ourselves browsing classifieds in southern Florida. Miami to be exact. I know what you might be thinking... was the price "too good to be true...?" Answer is, no. The price wasn't exceptionally great. We were looking at a few different models of Mercedes and Freightliner Sprinters with around 100,000-120,000 miles for around $18k-19.5k. The thing that had us hooked was the quality of the vehicles in the images and the cleanliness of them.
