Remember:" The "J" is so that you don't get confused with all the other Malmsteens in the business..."
Ever since I've seen this video many years back, I've wanted to play this particular piece. But I just don't have the ability in me to get that volume swell going as smoothly as the master himself. So today I decided to just play it straight forward and have the delay do the work. It's a quick cover and not much can be said about this classical piece of music, other than it is absolutely fun to play. So before the comment/dislike section get's hateful of the true lords, I'm warning you straight up. This is just played straight forward without volume swells. The volume knob on both my guitars are at a position that makes this hard to pull off. Maybe one day if I own a fender, I'll try this again. Until then....
Finally did it!
This was definitively one of the tracks I wanted to redo for a long time. Uploaded a video of the middle bit a couple of years back, but when I listened to it recently, (Terrible) I was just inspired to redo it ALL from scratch. It just had to be done.
Couple of things about the the video:
The acoustic bit is obviously played by two or even more guitars on the original recording, but is played here as one guitar. I added some strummed chords and accent notes afterwards to clean it up a bit and make it sound more fuller as well.
The middle part has those guitar swells in and they don't always have the same volume swell throughout, so I edited it afterwards to make it sound more "the same," if that makes sense.
The entire song is really easy to play and learn, but the acoustic part really got the best of me. Take after take after take after take, my little short fingers just don't always hit those notes right and I have to start all over again.
Tuning is Standard E

Up the IRONS baby. This song kicks butt a million times. This is a really great tune to learn and play and the riffs are just awesome!!! I got s little creative in the end and did a three part harmony of the last lick. I even did the bass lines as well, because let's face it, you gotta have that Steve Harris bass sound in there!!!
Dedicated to all my Brazilian friends!
Hope you guys enjoy this one with me

This song is so sad and beautiful I had to make a loop version of it.
Did some editing of my own to cancel out some dialogue and the spaceship sounds in the beginning. I just couldn't extract the first words from the blast sound. So, it's there.
Hope you enjoy.

What an amazing song to cover. This one felt like all the track 4's on the albums up to Justice combined. From the very sad intro, to the clean verses and heavy chorus parts up to the fast bridges and shredding solos, this one has it all.
I had a hard time playing this one straight through and had probably over 20-30 takes of each rhythm and lead guitar parts. Needless to say this one was a killer to cover. I also pushed myself to get this one done within a one week period, as I've never really played this one before until now. Yet again, Metallica proofs their ability to song writing and musicianship. They truly are the masters in their art.
A few mistakes was made here and there, but after the 20th take, I had to choose the best ones. These covers are always played live and to get the feeling and timing and emotional parts through to the audience is always a crazy task to achieve.
Hope you guys enjoy this one

This band just keep putting out great music. The smoke of many fires is the final track off their latest album called "Vessels."
Covering this song took a bit longer then usual, because of the finer details hidden inside. This is a really great song to cover and with all Be'lakor songs, the timings are always strange and awesome. Tabs on the internet are off as always, so once again the old ear was the tuning machine for this song.
Hope you guys enjoy this with me

What a song! Tuning is Eb Standard
This song has such beautiful melodies and harmonies. It's easy to see why Evile is such and underrated band. Very much influenced by their guitar heroes, but standing strong on it's own non the less.
There is not a single good tab out there for this song and all the guitar parts for it are incorrectly tabbed on all forums, so I did what I usually would do, and tabbed it out myself. I had a longer task of tabbing this song than I did recording and learning it. I watched all the live footage I could find to see find out exactly what Matt and Ol is playing in those beautiful guitar harmonies.
I also used my very old ( almost 16 years now) acoustic guitar I bought way back at a local Argus in London when I was visiting there in my early years.

Yet another one for the remake. Saw my first attempt video last weekend and decided that it was time to redo this masterpiece of a song and give it a proper make over. So it was back to the old fretboard, so to speak.
I wanted to make sure I got all the guitar parts in this time round, so I took hold of the isolated tracks and the original recording and started piecing everything together. The tabs out there aren't completely useless, but there are definitely a few mistakes present in those tabs as well as a few missing guitar parts. I also reworked the drums as those midi files was just a horrible mess. I tried a few times getting the intro sounding like that of the Sitar used in the recording, along with all the extra 12 string bass sounds etc, but in the end decided that I'd rather just use the original intro from the recording. I even have a video with my original rendition of the intro, which I'll be uploading to my Patreon for anybody who wants to give that a listen.
Overall I think this came out very good and am happy to have redone this classic piece of music! My fingers are still bleeding from playing those 2 lead parts. I use 11's on my guitar, so tuned to E they're really hard to bend!!
Hope You Guys Enjoy This
