MM138 - Iran Trades Oil for Jets from China
In direct violation of the 5-year weapons embargo, Iran is showing the world that the Obama Iran deal under consideration in the U.S. Congress isn’t worth the paper it’s printed on.
According to a report in the Taiwanese press, Iran will give China access to its largest oilfield for the next 20 years in exchange for 24 brand new J-10 fighter jets.
Iran just bought 100 refueling tankers from Russia last week, so obviously more fighter jet deals must be coming.
On the nuclear side of this deal, according to Col. Alan West, the United States will have no role in the IAEA inspection teams. The U.S. will not know the contents of the side deals between the IAEA and Iran, and worst of all, the deal would obligate the US to help defend Iran should Israel attack.
I’m still reporting from Washington. Good day.
