BREAKING ALL OF THE WORLD RECORDS (SMB1 - Benchmark Run)
Video games are a fun way to creatively engage with other people all around the world. It's dank.
I like being alive now because with video games just being born in the last 50 years, it's cool to see a brand new art form emerging into the world. It's like if music just got invented. It's cool.
Anyway this video is my benchmark run where I see how well I can do on Super Mario Bros. 1 (NES) without any practice. SPOILER ALERT -- I didn't even win the game lol.
My medium term goal is to break into the top 200 for the warpless run category of SMB1. This is actually a very doable goal, you can check out the stats over here: https://www.speedrun.com/smb1#Warpless -- if I complete the game and successfully submit the run, I'll pretty much be in the top 200 just from that.

The internet was supposed to save the music industry. Instead, it destroyed it. Will blockchain be any different? This article goes in-depth on the four most prominent music distribution platforms in the blockchain space.
an original track for steemit open mic 36. My audio interface broke during this one - luckily I got the drums through the real microphones. Guitar audio is iPhone audio - and it's amazing that it still sounds pretty damn good.
technology is nice. thanks steve jobs & pals.
going deeper into Logic Pro X's built in drum machines. just looking at all the preset kits shows me I've barely scratched the surface. got pretty aggro with this beat.
I'm starting to understand why aphex/squarepusher/etc are so obsessed with gear. there's so much depth to just this one machine, I can't imagine how it feels to have several of them.
This is an original song and performance, originally created for Steemit Open Mic Week 35. Last week's splitscreen video was fun, and I wanted to try a fully composed song in that style this week.
The end result - pretty cool! I think the next step is to try and expand on the visual aspect. I want to take it from "amateurish but fun" to "damn that looks sick".
Stay tuned for week 36 :-)
