Rise of Nations is a great RTS title, a quite underrated and often overlooked gem in the rough, due to its age the base game seems lacking, however, the modding community has been very active and has brought many mods for it to the public, such as the modern warfare mod which focuses the game on more recent times (cold war to present age) and provides a great and focused experience of various nations. Overall it's a great game and I would recommend you check it out. This timelapse shows me playing as Russia against Egypt with deathmatch resources.
