Trying out a ROM hack on Project Nested (1.4.2) w/ SNES9X - Atlantis no Nazo MMC3
The vanilla Atlantis no Nazo ROM is an incompatible mapper, but this MMC3 hack has the game fully playable. Or at least, as fully playable as this game even is to begin with.

So, the last time I tried playing this demo, it kinda... looked bad.
So let's try it again. Compared to the old Mednafen I was using then, SSF PreviewVer R9 has it looking... well, a good bit better. It still has some quirks though.

So it's been a while since I examined a Gamecube game, so I went through Hidden-Palace, and saw a proto of Bloody Roar: Primal Fury.
This appears to be a late localization proto - there's no obvious gameplay differences, and the voice acting is intact. However, I did spot one minor difference on beating Arcade Mode the first time:
1) The Ganesha unlock message does not refer to his stage, even though that is unlocked along with him. This is corrected in the final game.
(BTW, this is being run on Dolphin, apologies for the occasional stutters.)

This is the proto Dumped by Kevtris and released by Ballz. The article has some writeups about various aspects of the game, and you can check some of them out in the gameplay.
Although the article states game crashes were found in the first dungeon, I didn't come across any. I did, however, find some areas inaccessible seemingly because no colliision was set for the entrances to some locations, making me wonder how to even access the final stage, if that would be possible without cheating.

A quick-and-dirty audacity audio edit. For most of the proto tracks the "Act 2" version was used because their similar swings and tempos make them mesh well in a medley easily.
I made sure to grab "proto" versions of as many tracks as I could. Unfortuantely I don't recall the S3 proto having a proper equivalent of the 3C-specific medley end...? Or the medley intro.
These are probably not how these would actually sound if it made it into final, but it's fun to wonder, huh?
