Learning A LOT Of Programming Languages: Should You Do It?
Learning is a difficult process for most people, especially in the tech field. Picture this: Every day new technologies arise and you must be able to keep up with them.
Newbies and senior developers always struggle with this. Being a digital influencer in the programming field makes me have much more contact with people's biggest concerns and this is definitely one of them.
Should you learn one programming language and stick to it? Should you learn a lot of programming languages at the same time? What should you do?

Pricing Your Services For Friends & Family
A lot of software developers struggle with pricing your services. During all this time on the software development field, I have seen a lot of programmers undercharging for their services, which leads to a lot of frustration in their careers.
This can get much worse if we start talking about pricing services for friends and family. What should you do? Should you do it for free? Should you undercharge even more?
How should you approach this situation when you're talking about friends and family?

Can I Take Some Time Off To Relax?
I believe in living a balanced life. I believe in living a good life where you can actually enjoy life, your achievements and all the good things that this world has to offer.
We all have different areas that we should be able to administrate and balance: work, life, relationships, fitness, health, investments, etc.
Today I wanted to talk about two in specific: work and life.
How do you find balance in a busy life, working at a company, in your projects and also finding some time off to relax? In this video I received a question about someone asking me if it was ok for him to take some time off to relax.
I confess that I also struggle with that too. I find it hard to find the balance between work and relax time, most to the fact that I don't make differences between work and relaxation and I don't think work is a bad thing.
So, is it ok to take some time off to relax? And how much should you take? Watch this video and find out!

Competitive Programming: What Is The Real Purpose?
A lot of you guys have been asking me this question. "John, can you tell us a little bit more about competitive programming? What is competitive programming? Is it a good choice?"
Well, the questions are endless. And I've decided to do a video talking more about this topic, trying to sum up everything in here.
So, first of all we need to understand what is competitive programming.
According to Wikipedia, "Competitive programming is a mind sport usually held over the Internet or a local network, involving participants trying to program according to provided specifications. Contestants are referred to as sport programmers. Competitive programming is recognized and supported by several multinational software and Internet companies, such as Google, Facebook and IBM. There are several organizations who host programming competitions on a regular basis.
A programming competition generally involves the host presenting a set of logical or mathematical problems to the contestants (who can vary in number from tens to several thousands), and contestants are required to write computer programs capable of solving each problem. Judging is based mostly upon number of problems solved and time spent for writing successful solutions, but may also include other factors (quality of output produced, execution time, program size, etc.)"
(Read more here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Competitive_programming)
So, what is the real purpose in enrolling at one of these competitive programming championships? Will it do any benefits to your career?

I Became A Manager And I Don't Write Code Anymore... What Now?
Becoming a manager is a part of some software developers. They work during some years, get to know the company, get some experience and they eventually become managers.
However, the job of a manager includes a lot of different tasks than writing code: you need to manage people, have social skills, have the ability to manage projects, manage time, tasks, etc.~
With all of these tasks, writing code becomes almost secondary and can literally disappear from your day to day and regular tasks.
So, what do you do after you become a manager and don't write code anymore? Will you lose your skills? How can you revert this situation? Should you even revert this situation?
