Good evening, I’m still reporting on Trump. The ever-agile Donald Trump has done it again. Trump just tweeted out that he will be going to Mexico just hours before his major and definitive immigration speech tomorrow at 9pm eastern. “I have accepted the invitation of President Enrique Pena Nieto, of Mexico, and look very much forward to meeting him tomorrow.” I’m beginning to see the awesome weight of the mantle of the presidency of the United States of America descend on Donald Trump. I’m still reporting from Washington. Good day.

Newt Gingrich has undergone some sort of a serious change. He’s not the old Newt anymore. He is actually using his vast experience of 40 years in politics in a very, very beneficial way for the United States of America.
In the past, he was just another politician to me, but now whenever he talks, I want to listen. I don’t trust him as much as I trust Trump or Carson, but he’s one of the few whose opinion matters to me.
Newt was on Sean Hannity’s show last night and was just loaded with good information.
In one exchange, Sean Hannity says exactly what I’ve been saying for months about Trump being EXACTLY what the Republican hierarchy has been literally praying for for the past 20 years – someone who could expand the base – broaden the so-called big tent.
[insert Sean]
Then Newt explains it better than I could.
[insert Newt 1&2]
See, that’s just it. Trump is the ultimate capitalist – his goal is to get to wherever he is going in the most efficient way. Trump is flexible.

Now Newt lays down a withering denunciation of the Never Trump Group.

Well Newt, where was this brilliant slave trade analysis in 1992 when you supported NAFTA under the leadership of Bush senior? You were wrong about NAFTA then and you have never admitted it.
On March 14, 2011, you appeared on the Howie Carr radio show and a caller asked about your support for NAFTA:
“CALLER: Back in the ’90s I remember Ross Perot saying that there was going to be the giant sucking sound of jobs if NAFTA passed. I think it ended up being true, right? And I know you were a big free trader.”
“GINGRICH: Yeah, well, I don’t think it was true in Mexico. I think the fact is that NAFTA allowed us to build jobs in Canada, the United States, and Mexico, in competition with China. I mean, our big competitor is not Mexico. Our big competitor is China and India. And I’d rather have jobs close to the United States than have jobs overseas in places like China and India. That’s why I was in favor of it. … So in a sense, I’d like our neighborhood to be fairly well off and fairly prosperous.”
Here’s the link to this obscure page called ThinkProgress.org.

I was 100% opposed to NAFTA back then as were millions of common-sense Americans. And I worked as hard for Ross Perot then as I’m working for Trump now.
China was almost NEVER mentioned in NAFTA debate. The issue was that jobs were going to be sucked down to Mexico – and that’s EXACTLY what happened, and now you are claiming that was a big success! What a piece of twisted self-justification.
So Newt, I’ll never completely trust you until you come clean on NAFTA, but the rest of the following is right on.

Donald Trump’s favorable to unfavorable ratio has taken a dramatic reversal in the latest polling amongst Iowa Republicans.
Last May, the Des Moines Register / Bloomberg Politics poll showed Trump’s unfavs were at 63% and his favs were at 27%.
As we discussed in an earlier report, Trump is not electable in a general election until these reverse in general polling among all voters. And until then, Republicans should still be wary of nominating him as their candidate.
In the new poll released this morning, his numbers among Iowa Republicans have dramatically reversed. Trump’s unfavorables in Iowa have plummeted to 35% and his favs have rocketed up to 61%.
The graph compares Trumps fortunes in Iowa to former governor of Texas, Rick Perry, who has been very critical of Trump.
Political pundits are astounded by Trump’s reversal. According to Kedron Bardwell, an associate professor at Simpson College in Iowa:
“Wow. This poll will have Republican consultants shaking heads in bewilderment.”
According to Chris Cillizza, a political blogger for the Washington Post:
“I’ve never seen anything like the total reversal in how Trump is perceived by Republican voters.
It’s not something we’ve seen before. And it may not be something we see again.”

Kathleen Willey, who says she was sexually assaulted by President Bill Clinton, went on Breitbart radio on Sunday and encouraged other victims of Clinton sexual assaults to come forward now that Donald Trump is in the presidential race.
Willey said:
“Nobody can touch you now. The word is out. You will be OK but you will be doing the right thing for all the right reasons and you will be helping your fellow sisters.”
Trump has taken another huge political risk by bringing up the subject of former President Bill Clinton’s sexcapades over the years.
Willey thanked Trump for creating an atmosphere of safety for the victimized women to now speak out after years of pressure and persecution she says was ruthlessly orchestrated by Hillary Clinton.
““Thank you very much, Mr. Trump, for asking the right question at the right time. And please keep asking more.”
Willey, then made a startling assertion that I had never heard before, and I’ve followed the Clinton’s over the years fairly closely:
“Mrs. Clinton, is it OK with you that your husband flies around in private jets with a convicted pedophile to a private island called ‘Orgy Island’ and be entertained by underage girls? The real word for that is pedophilia and human trafficking. Is that OK with you?”

Why Did Trump Invite Al Gore Over for Tea?
Good afternoon, I’m still reporting on Trump.
Donald Trump followers were shocked to see former Vice-President Al Gore walking into Trump Tower on Monday.
Al Gore for Sec. of State?..... Hardly!
The meeting was initially scheduled by Ivanka Trump who said that climate change is an issue she wanted to support. But according to Gore, he ended up spending most of the time with the president-elect himself.
[insert tweet]
“I found it an extremely interesting conversation.”
Trump has never supported climate change, calling it a “hoax.”
[Insert tweet]
Trump had it right when he tweeted 4 years ago:
“The concept of global warming was created by and for the Chinese in order to make U.S. manufacturing non-competitive.”
Was Trump calling Gore in to see if he could convince the president-elect on the climate-change cause? Hardly!
According to Reince Priebus, Trump was just keeping an open mind on some climate policies, but Trump still believes most of climate change issue is just a “bunch of bunk.”
But I think it goes beyond that. Trump knows to not antagonize your enemies, but in addition, any amount of befriending you can do with someone you basically are opposed to politically, pays you back double in preventing the damage they could do to you if they got really mad.
In short, any bit of being friends is way, way better than resigning yourself to being devout enemies for life.
In other words it’s a political skill of minimizing risks that Trump already learned in the business world.
I’m still reporting from Washington. Good day.

Today Chris Wallace took to the air on Fox with his Fox News Sunday show. The topic was Trump.
First question: Is the Stop Trump Movement to be taken seriously?
[insert 1]
So as she points out, the time has expired and all that is actually left is just angry bluff and bluster from folks who are about to lose a bunch of money from the huge vote rigging industry in Washington, D.C.
[insert 2]
So here’s my next key indicator of the Trump trajectory. Trump’s rather conservative projection that gets him just over the line on June 7, the last primary day, shows him getting only 12 votes in Utah. Does he end up with more than 12, or less than 12 this Tuesday?
[insert 3]
Having grown up in Washington, it is absolutely hilarious to me to see these professional prognosticators completely baffled by the Trump train. At least Woodward is honest about it.
[insert 4]
Does anyone actually believe these polls that Hillary beats Trump in the general? I certainly don’t. Even if his popularity remained static from this point on, he would win hands down. Why? Two reasons:
#1. Trump gets probably the biggest crossover vote in the history of U.S. politics. Everyone is tired of Washington sell-outs. #2. Trump gets more votes. Turnout for Trump in the general will crush all known previous voter turnout records.
Judge it by the turnout at the rallies. If Cruz gets over 1,000 people to a rally, he’s crowing about the next day on the interview shows.
We Trumpers say: 1,000? What a failure. Trump gets between 10 and 30,000 and can do 3 or 4 of those in a single day. There is absolutely no comparison!
The forces of Clinton are paying for fake polls. That’s all I can figure. And their supplicants know it. Why? Because behind the scenes they are scared to death of Trump’s pulling power.
[insert 5, Lisa Lerer the Associated Press]
Yes, and imagine the difficulties campaigning during an espionage trial?
[insert 6 Woodward]
So the big Trump 757 will be swooping into Reagan National along the banks of the Potomac River tomorrow. Meeting #1 with the Jewish contingent to try to sway them over.
[Insert Chris Wallace]
Second up, however, Trump will be meeting with a group of mainstream Republicans. Why?
[insert Let’s Make a Deal]
Yes, and you can bet that the master negotiator will make peace with the Republican silent majority in just a couple hours time.
[insert last}
