This is one of my favourites, a fine selection of varied and remote stars, and a lovely tune to accompany them.

A light-hearted look at the idea that Star Formations actually grew like giant flowers on Earth. This is an evidence based theory and shouldn't be dismissed without deep study.

However, there are many that go beyond the realm of possibility, these, I think, involved a different technique.

Fenton, a great friend of mine has spent an awful lot of time researching, collecting, sorting & compiling, and improving old photographs and maps. He has also put a lot time, work, and energy into developing a great website.

Here I present a sampling of star towns and cities that are less obvious to spot today. Notice that some of these towns are fairly small and ordinary looking, but the old maps reveal their former glory. I hope that this helps to train your eyes to see the tell-tale signs of once brilliant stars. There are thousands of old maps out there, some of which are very accurate and show a lot of valuable evidence. Saying that, there are also a lot of towns where old maps are not available, yet these towns bear the same fingerprints as obvious stars as well as less obvious mapped ones. The case for "every old town used to be a star", is gaining strength.
