Taking a look into a burnt out CFL bulb and salvaging some components. These things are always destined for the trash so might as well see what we can scavenge from them before they meet their fate. Be careful with these bulbs because they do contain a small quantity of mercury (Hg) although it is a very small amount, the safe dose is 0.
Hello guys, and this kit build is a bit different. My function generator was the most mentally challenging build I've ever done, mostly because I wasn't feeling it at the time, and messed up a lot of the soldering.

Today I am taking a look at the impressive Riden RD6018-W power supply kindly sent over for review by Banggood! This thing looks great but is even better than it looks - it can output over 1000w (but I could not test it on this video because my AC to DC converter isn't capable of it) and output 60v and 18 amps. In this video I got to put it thru its paces, and color me impressed. I also checked the accuracy against a Kaiweets HT118A which, in my independent testing was nearly perfect. Make sure you are subscribed for the full review!

It dawned on me that some people don't know the difference between a multimeter and a LCR meter, so I figured it would be a great first look at the UT622A to explain what a LCR meter is and to take the UT622A out for a spin!

This is the fourth video in my KiCAD for beginners series and the 6th video in the journey from breadboard to PCB for the little 555 timer pwm generator!
In this video we do up the finishing touches on things like the silk screening and making sure the board will be ready to be sent to a fab - obviously with the bumps along the way.
Follow along on this crazy process and if any boards get made, I will give them firstly to my Patreons and my YouTube friends and then they may be given away to viewers, we will see!
Thanks for watching!

PCBWay sponsored this video in order for me to demonstrate that simple PCBs can easily help you organize your electrical loads - specifically if you are like me and use a single 12v power supply to power multiple loads. This board simply switches on and off different circuits to change the amount of power I consume in my shop and is part 1 of a total re-imagining of my filming area's lighting situation.
Here is where you can download or order your own pcb:
