Having a fly with Flyboysee and his new Disco Pro - which he's starting to getting used to, but looks pretty solid.
Bit of a weird day, expecting good weather and got low mist which was not best for video, but we made the most of it. Also I wasn't really paying much attention to the video at all - what with mist and water droplets on the lens, so expect to see the legs from my quad and the motors making an appearance. All the fault of the GoPro 2 and it's ultra wide-angle mode. I may eventually get a GP3/4

On just about every camera review I've done lately there were always calls of "try the Caddx Ant" so here by popular demand is that reivew. Let's see if it holds up to the many recommendations.

I took the little Gteng FPV watch along to an FPV gathering as it was very useful for checking which channels were free, or had bleed through from others.
Whilst I was there I noticed it didn't seem to have any issues picking up a signal much further away than I would have given it credit for. At 1500m we had a very solid picture and a readable OSD.
Of course on 5.8, height, atmospheric conditions and someone sneezing too close can all have an effect, so this may not be typical - but it certainly exceeded my expectations of how good this would be at anything past 100m or so.
I picked up my Gteng at banggood here (full disclosure: Affiliate link) http://www.banggood.com/GTeng-FPV-T909-5_8G-3dBi-32CH-Receiver-2_6-Inch-Screen-Real-time-Wearable-Watch-w-350mAh-Lipo-p-1051438.html?p=E81211714085201408XQ

I seem to be falling behind on my 250 quad. I'm not been happy so far with any of my configs. I started out with Baseflight on the naze32 and it was ok, but not as smooth as I wanted, so I spend time reconfiguring the quad and moved to cleanflight to test out the much hyped autotune.
Obviously, things didn't go great, but I do think that's mostly down to an ESC failure. Interestingly one of the autotunes that I didn't revert put the pids up really high - hence the oscillations.
I've got my old plush 10A's (with blheli on) to try. If they check out, then I'll autotune have another try.

Well, I think the lesson is to try not to smash it up in the first place, it's a tricky fix and I got lucky. I picked up the replacement OLED from Gearbest here
http://www.gearbest.com/action-cameras-sport-dv-accessories/pp_461317.html
One note, I say in the video "2 screws", there are another 2 inside holding the PCB in place, but you'd probably notice these without me telling you.
On the other hand, the firmware update is very easy. The site to get the updates from is here

It's a beautifully put together little quad - the question of whether it's a true toothpick, or just a micro is one I don't know if I can answer. Instead, let's take it out in the field and see how it performs.
