Still Report #647 - Paul Ryan TPP Won't Pass
To become Partner #498: www.billstill.com, then Click "Subscribe”.

Speaker of the House Paul Ryan – the man who wrote the Fast-Track bill to help the ObamaTrade bills -- including the Trans-Pacific Partnership bill -- slip through Congress – now says that in its current condition, the TPP will not pass the House of Representatives.
Ryan told business reporter Maria Bartiromo of Fox Business:
“Right now I don’t see the votes there for TPP, because I think the administration negotiated an agreement that has some problems in it….”
Ryan said that TPP wasn’t dead, but would have to be renegotiated. Other experts say that TPP will not be taken up again until the new Congress is seated after the November elections.
Senator Jeff Sessions of Alabama, the crusader against all of what’s known as the four Obamatrade deals, has insisted that Presidential debate moderators ask each of the candidates their stance on TPP and the other 3 Obamatrade deals – but to no avail.
According to Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, the Fox News executive who writes questions for the Fox debates has a daughter working for the Rubio campaign.
Marco Rubio was the critical 60th vote in the Senate that passed “Fast Track” authority to make it easier to pass the TPP.
Rubio has previously said he supports passage of the TPP, but says now that he will wait until after the primaries to reveal his current position.
Ted Cruz first voted for Fast Track, then, after loud criticism from real conservatives, flipped and voted against it.
Fighting the Obama Trade deals has been one of the cornerstones of Donald Trump’s campaign and he has criticized them loud and long on campaign trail pointing out that for the last 25 years, the American people have never benefited from the big trade deals.
However, up North Canada’s new Prime Minister - uber-leftist and possible Muslim convert, Justin Trudeau, sees it differently from Trump. He had his new government sign the TPP agreement 3 weeks ago. However, it it still faces a lengthy battle to gain passage in the Canadian Parliament.
I’m Still reporting from Washington. Good day.
