Resin Serving Tray or Vanity Tray: Beginners' Resin Art Tutorial
in this beginners' resin art tutorial, Craftelot Resin. Co walks through the steps you take when making a resin or vanity tray using epoxy resin. This resin art project is great for beginners because it is simple and easy. Not too much technique is required to get some fabulous results. The resin art technique is a hybrid of the puddle pour, ring pour, and 3d flower technique. Using these three techniques you are sure to create a gorgeous piece of resin art. In this video I show you how to make resin Geode Coasters with a polymer clay faux rock holder. This piece looks great on a coffee table and is functional, storing coasters for all your guests. When not in use, this piece looks like an amethyst geode when it has been broke in half to expose the amethyst crystals. You will be directed to watch the resin Geode coaster tutorial at the beginning, then i show u exactly how I put this piece together.

In this video, I use multiple mediums, including pigment powders, alcohol inks, acrylic paints, and pigment pastes, to color the epoxy resin. Using multiple mediums creates different effects. The differing weights of the mediums forces some of the colors to sink, while other rise to the surface, and others disperse into other areas of the mold. Here is a list of all of the mediums I used, with links to buy the exact brands I used if you are attempting to recreate the effects in these coasters.
