It was just too cold to go out and shoot for a minute of footage today so I raided my stash of un-cut footage again. Kakunodate is a tiny town with a Shinkansen stop in Akita Prefecture. It has a good deal of History, a Samurai House and the last shop making Cherry Bark containers (they've been doing it for hundreds of years, too.) I went there for work back in 2013 and snapped some 60p footage around the town. It's definitely a town worth visiting, especially if you have a rail pass, just because so few people actually do.
