Don't Go Through HR When Looking For A Job
Most people do crazy things when looking for a job. And what I mean by crazy things is doing stuff that won't benefit them in any way, but only will make things more difficult.
Getting hired can be very difficult, especially with the market being more and more crowded and it is nowadays. Each passing day, people start looking desperately for a job. The bad thing (for them) and the good thing (for you) is that they end up doing the same old thing over and over again.
They end up going through the traditional road and end up falling into the HR trap, which I believe everybody knows how it works. In this video I'll tell you why you shouldn't be looking to get hired and going through HR if you're looking for a really good position at a company.

China: The Forbidden City
I was recently in China, where I went to give a talk at an important conference. I've also decided to take some time off and plan a beautiful trip with my family, where we visited a lot of different touristic locations, etc.
One of the places we've been to was the "Forbidden City".
"The Forbidden City, situated in the very heart of Beijing, was home to 24 emperors of the Ming (1368–1644) and Qing (1644–1911) Dynasties.
The construction of the grand palace started in the fourth year of Emperor Yongle of the Ming Dynasty (1406), and ended in 1420.
In ancient times, the emperor was said to be a son of Heaven, and therefore Heaven's supreme power was bestowed upon him. The emperors' residence on earth was built as a replica of the Purple Palace where God was thought to live in Heaven."
Extracted from: http://www.chinahighlights.com/beijing/forbidden-city/
This trip was very impressive and interesting because it made me realize how cultures can be so different and how this enormous city, home of an entire dynasty, was born.

Don't Try To "Get Back To Even"
We all have relapses and fall downs. We tend to make progress and, suddenly, we see ourselves back to where we started, sometimes, even, back to where we were.
This is why, when we say we "get back on track" we tend to want to "get back to even", which means that we try to recover everything that was "lost" during that period.
However, during the years and with my experience, I came to realize that this might not be the best option if we really want to get back to where we were before.
In this video, I'll share why you should not try to get back to even and what you should do instead.

Make Things Harder If You Want To Improve
A lot of us want to advance in life, achieve new things and keep improving. This is what gives meaning to life, right?
Yeah, you're right. Work and improvement keep us alive, feeling like we have a purpose. According to Psycho-Cybernetics, an amazing book, our mind is goal-oriented, which means that we need to have a goal so that we have a meaning.
However, most people hit a level that they cannot get past it. And they get there for a long time, sometimes, for the rest of their lives.
If you really want to keep improving, you need to make things harder for yourself. And this is exactly what we are going to talk in this video.

Resetting Your Goals To Clear Your Head
We all get all packed up with a lot of different things to do at some point in our lives. We start getting a lot of different things to do and, in the end, our life is full of different projects, things to finish and deadlines to meet.
This is why, from time to time, it is important to do what I call a "clean up" on your goals. You need to stop, focus, re-schedule everything, clean up unnecessary tasks and re-think everything you need to do.
The reason to do that is that it is easy to get lost on all of this tsunami of ideas inside of our minds. It can cause stress, anxiety and it can make us feel lost inside of so many things we need to do and take care of.
Resetting your goals from time to time will make you more focused and also will give you another perspective on your current tasks and objectives.
