Stand in a wide stance, with your toes turned slightly out. Lift a pair of dumbbells straight up over your head with arms locked. Keeping the dumbbells above you, perform a basic squat. Use your heels to rise halfway up, performing mini “pulse” reps. Do as many as you can before you use your heels to press up to the starting position, then rest briefly before continuing on until completion.

Begin by standing with one hand holding onto the back of a chair. Bend your knees and lower a few inches into a slight squat. Lift your left leg up and rest the left outer edge of your foot across your right lower thigh, forming a figure four with your legs. Raise your opposite arm out in front of you while you push back to lower down until your thigh is parallel to the ground. Use your grounded heel to guide you back up to the standing position, then repeat. Perform an equal amount of squats on both sides.
G-Tip: This is another challenging variation that tests your balance while also opening up your hip flexors, making this an effective squat and mobility movement.
