Wathen explains the role of miracles and prophesies in confirming our Faith by preaching on three such Testaments: Christ's Prophesy of the Destruction of Jerusalem, The Holy Shroud, and the Miracle of the Sun at Fatima. Father also touches on the subject of our personal judgement, and how God's Mercy and Justice are one.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord; and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen. (Please pray for the repose of his soul)

Fr. Wathen explains how one of the largest problems in American society began, this being Materialism, and how this line of thinking affects American Catholics. Though Materialism is not new or exclusive to America, it has been more pronounced in this country than in others.

In this sermon, Fr. Wathen discusses the life of St. John the Baptist, along with what lessons we can learn from him. Although this is not an Advent sermon, I thought the subject of St. John the Baptist's life was timely.

Fr. Altenbach explains how the situation of the introduction of the Novus Ordo in the 1970s shares many similarities to how heretics introduced new liturgies to corrupt the faith of Catholics during the Protestant Revolt in England and the German states. He discusses how Catholics who attend the Novus Ordo will lose their faith just as the Catholic peoples did in those nations who attended the services composed by Luther, Cramner, etc. Though Father was speaking in the mid-seventies, as the Crisis in the Church was relatively a new catastrophe, his insight still holds much weight for our times.
For the repose of Fr. Altenbach:
May the angels lead thee into Paradise; may the martyrs receive thee at thy coming, and bring thee into the holy city, Jerusalem. May the choir of angels receive thee, and with Lazarus, who once was poor, mayest thou have eternal rest.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord; and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen. (Please pray for the repose of his soul)
A sermon by Fr. James Wathen. Synopsis: The sublime humility present in the Mass (emphasis on man's submission and obedience towards God) compared to the prideful & ignorant attitude present in the New Mass. The two tenets of the New Religion = 1. The Glorification of Man and 2. Every religion is as good as the true religion. Communion in the hand is an abomination. Gradualism as the weapon used to make people complacent to sacrileges of the New Mass. The liturgy and practices of the Early Church misinterpreted by the modernists to justify their revolutionary aims to destroy tradition. The organic development of the liturgy of the Early Church. The more that the Mass and the Blessed Eucharist are attacked, the more we must love these holy things.
