An ancient ancestor of the crocodile, the mosasaurs makes even the largest crocodiles look like toys. The ocean was home to this ancient crocodile. Can you imagine at the beach and seeing that creature far away, jumping like a whale does? It makes swimming with a crocodile child’s play. with the head of a crocodile and the feet replaced by fins. The colossal monosaur was longer than a large shipping container. Between its razor-sharp teeth and large size, nothing would want to tussle with this beast.

House cats are the miniature representations of the king of the jungle, agile predators but with the bonus as cuddly buddies. Their keen hunting ability might be a trait leftover from their ancestors. But if you want to know the king of the jungle, look no further than the American Lion. The scientific community is divided on the cat's looks. Some say the American lions resembled the modern-day counterparts while others believe they physically looked more like jaguars. With a wide range from Alaska to Peru, these prehistoric cats could weigh as much as a compact car and were fearsome predators. Scientists suggest that the massive cat was a lone hunter since no 2 lion’s bones have been found together. Perhaps, hunting alone kept it from the competition with sabertooth tigers that existed during the time.

Megalodon
Great white sharks are cute and tiny… well not really. But compared to the grandfather of all great white sharks… yes. Meet the biggest shark in the world, the megalodon. The creatures roamed our vast oceans millions of years ago and were much larger than school buses. They no longer exist, thankfully. So, the only way you’ll be able to meet one now is through a movie or book. You can relax at the beach now, no megalodons, just white sharks.
