With most commercial freeze dried prepackaged meals, I find the menu to be too salty as well as have too few options so my family and I get bored with them pretty quick. In this video, I show how to turn Mountain House's Bacon and Eggs breakfast meal pack into a soup that is a great base for many different meals.
This technique is perfect for backpackers and preppers alike to expand on what their meals have to offer in variety.

From Nordsmith Knives, built by LT Wright Knives, the Canteen Knife is a Modern take on the classic Nessmuck Knife. I am a big fan of the Nessmuk design and the Canteen Knife comes in at the best take on the Nessmuk that I've used. Being that it is built by LT Wright is just icing on the cake for making this knife a winner in my opinion.

Recently Justin Wolfe from Greirwolfe on YouTube issued a 1 strike fire challenge out of your comfort zone. Mike Travis stepped up to the plate with Red Oak and he inspired me to do the same as my previous experience with red oak has been that it is somewhat difficult.

In recent past, we've just covered good food made in the woods with fresh ingredients. Today by request, we hit up some shelf stable Spam. We are going to continue to pursue more shelf stable options in the future so if you have a favorite ingredient be sure to post that in the comment section as a suggestion and we'll see where inspiration takes us. Thank you and I hope you enjoy!

The Feral Woodcrafter was designed by Joe Mobley as a Bushcraft knife with an emphasis of Firecraft. The recurve scandivex edge excels at fine work, such as feathering, as well as heavy material removal. The tip is profiled to work notches on hand drill and bow drill sets with both precision and ease. The aggressive 90 degree spine is great for both scraping a ferro rod and working up super fine material from wood and bark. The handle is designed in the classic broomstick style handle for comfort with prolonged use and thumb scallops for alternative grip techniques such as chest leavers etc.

Most newer model CRKT M model folding knives have a secondary, and in my opinion, a very unnecessary locking system. This video outlines one way to disable this somewhat annoying secondary locking system.

A give away to a member of the Wolfe Customs family. Awhile ago, I saw a video that Justin Wolfe (grierwolfe) made of his daughter attempting to make fire with a fero and striker. It quickly became obvious that due to her age she lacked the motor skills and hand strength to get the job done with traditional tools. That video bore this idea.
This particular striker isn't up to par so I won't sell it. So the deal here is, this is free to a good home of a Wolfe Custom's member. All I ask is that you use it and then review it to let me know what you think so I can improve it based on user preferences. Aesthetically, while not bad, I know it is not up to par (hence why it's not for sale) but functionally, it is as sound as any I'd offer for sale.
One other thing that I forgot to mention in the video. I need to make a correction about something Justin implied (he had no way of knowing b/c at the time I hadn't told him how they were made yet). The actual steel, I did not form or make. It is nothing more then a gardening tool sharpener that I've cleaned up and given a proper handle to.
And lastly, these are the prototype models. I've made some virtually identical but from 1095 steel. I want to get these out there and see how folks think I can improve on the design before I put those into production.
Thanks for watching and for doing your part in making this a great group/family.
