Prof. Roger Byrne (Geography Department, U. C. Berkeley) introduces teachers at the 2014 ORIAS summer teachers’ institute on Foodways in World History to the study of paleoecology (the reconstruction of environmental change and human impact on the environment in premodern epochs).
