Far from engaging in merely a dry discussion of history, we relate information from the source to the world situation as we know it today with a focus on evident causes and effects. We're also deeply concerned with discovering the nature and priority of common law and how it may work in humanity's (especially, Americans') favor and how it may work against us. At this stage of investigation, we're concerned with a high-level overview, not dwelling too much on specifics.
In this episode, a third participant joins us and contributes to the discussion.
Segment 1 of 3 focuses on the Introduction to the subject in the source blog post (a well-referenced and apparently balanced article).
Photo by Byron Sterk on Unsplash -- Exactly how do the human (or humane) and the technical / mechanical fit together?
The common law was designed to be like a machine that, in the best cases, was able to dispense justice; but it was found to be deficient, so it was found necessary to develop the system of equity and add it as a complement and supplement to the common law. In contrast, "God's law," whatever one takes that to be, has been assumed to be a perfect means of determining and dispensing justice. If that is the case, why was there ever a perceived need for laws devised by humans, and why did those laws survive and thrive after the conversion of Europe to Christianity? And were the efforts of Christian jurists to develop and improve the common law by incorporating Christian ideas into it misguided and futile? Did they simply corrupt Christianity through their efforts while failing to fully correct the deficiencies of common law?
Such are the questions (with others like them) to which consideration of Richard Anthony's article, [Is the Common Law really based upon God's Law?](http://www.ecclesia.org/truth/common_law.html) gives rise.
To the best of our abilities, we apply the Sophianic perspective and our probative faculties while considering Anthony's views and Bible-oriented arguments.

In segment two of this week's meeting, advantages and disadvantages of common law are discussed, based on the article [What Is Common Law?](https://www.lawteacher.net/free-law-essays/administrative-law/what-is-common-law-administrative-law-essay.php). We continue exploring the nature and origins of common law, in the process learning a lot about many correlated and tangential subjects and gradually building a picture of how the law operates in the modern world (more specifically, the USA).
The Sophianic Superlearning (SSL) initiative, addressing a variety of subjects about which we think we will do well to learn more (in some cases, as much as possible), is intended to serve several purposes. Among them are the following (not an exhaustive list):
The primary motivation is to assist participants and listeners to prepare themselves to more deliberately, intelligently, sanely and humanely co-create a shared future that will be the complete opposite in every essential way of the future envisioned by the globalist psychopaths, and that will be entirely free of their influence, which can only be possible via their final and complete defeat and elimination. The correlated Nine Loves Community and Agora (NLCA) initiative focuses on pursuing and developing the Sophianic Way of Life in practical and down-to-earth ways, individually and collectively. The SSL and NLCA initiatives are entirely peaceful and constructive in nature.
In a general way, to feed the joy of learning.
To demonstrate superlearning as a method of open and intensive inquiry with a focus on interdisciplinary connecting-of-the-dots, all done within the context of Gnosis, intimate bonding with the Earth and the living planet's divine consciousness, and the amplification of human intelligence that that bonding makes possible as part of one's mutation toward the new and incoming version of humanity, Anthropos-11. Through this process, the mind can build up a tremendous store of wisdom via incremental acquisition of knowledge and application of the "power of compounding." To an extent, this process is normal to humans who pursue continuing education, but we are engaged in a daring experiment to see how far we can go with it with the aid of the Wisdom Goddess, Gaia-Sophia.

In this Sophianic Superlearning meeting, we begin our discussion of the origins of common law and related matters.

Segment 3 of 3 includes, in the context of discussing common law, discussion of ideological subversion of American society, which mirrors the same kind of subversion in countries worldwide and explains how human freedom, following an earlier period of expansion in many parts of the world, has come under progressive attack globally, a process that has been underway for decades and in the culmination of which we now find ourselves.

The 24-Oct Sophianic Superlearning meeting covered yet more interesting and informative material on the development of common law, namely the following:
Part 1: [Evolution of Common Law](https://blog.ipleaders.in/evolution-of-common-law/)
Part 2: [History of Defamation](https://englishlegalhistory.wordpress.com/2013/10/18/history-of-defamation/)
Part 3: A review from Amazon.com of [*Origins of the Common Law*](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/318255.Origins_of_the_Common_Law) by Arthur R. Hogue
Part 4: [Christianity and the Common Law](https://lawafterthebar.wordpress.com/2010/02/23/christianity-and-the-common-law/)
We will conclude in subsequent meetings with a more in-depth examination of the entanglement of Christianity with Common Law.
After going into the nature and background of the existing legal systems in such detail, it will doubtless be appropriate to present an similar (although much briefer) coverage of the Sophianic proposal for social organization, governance and law, which is called "themocracy." There is a limited amount of material on that ideosophy (ideology + philosophy) that we will, in one way or another, present in at least summary form. Perhaps some comparison and contrasting of common law and themocracy would be appropriate and helpful both to us and to our listeners via this channel.

Sophianic animism is the only religious perspective founded upon, and adhering faithfully to, the living Gnosis today, the body of teachings propagated by the Nemeta school, which uniquely includes the Fallen Goddess Scenario.
[Sophianic Animism USA](http://sa-usa.org) is the religious assembly or church geographically oriented to the USA that is devoted to enhancing and accelerating individual and communal practice of the testable faith of Sophianic animism. You too may test that faith in your own life. It has changed and dramatically improved many lives.
The second in a series of talks featuring and explaining a parable about "golden eggs," gifts that are important for humans to have and that can greatly enhance human lives.
JLL's notes: "Illustration: Bas-relief of Thoth-Hermes, regarded as the god or divine being who founded the Hermetic School of Ancient Egypt. One of many surviving images. Thoth is pictured with the head of an ibis, a river bird that inhabited the banks of the Nile.
"NOTE: This is the follow-up talk to The Parable of the Golden Eggs where I said I would title it Poimandres, The Shepherd of Mind -- but I prefer the above title. Poimandres is a text in the Corpus Hermeticum which I might [expound on] at some point. The text I quote in this talk is called Asclepius. It contains the words *divina sensu*, literally, 'divine sense.'"
[Sophianic Animism USA](http://sa-usa.org) is pleased to selectively mirror seleted talks by visionary teacher John Lamb Lash that may be found on YouTube and other Internet video and audio platforms.

In this Sophianic Superlearning meeting, the participants engage in a high-level review of the Independent Study landscape* revealed to them via the reading and discussion of a set of articles on the subject found on the Internet.
* Originally this word was a typo, "langscape," which has been corrected; but what would a "langscape" be? The word could designate a collection of essays (written language) or talks (spoken language) providing a relatively comprehensive view o a subject. So, the typo could be considered serendipitous.
