Neural networks simplified and made easy, for the layperson (or medical practitioner). I've tried to keep things simple, and provide a beginner's introduction to machine learning and neural networks. By the end of this series, you'll have created your first complete and functioning artificial neural network.
This technology will be all throughout medical practise in the years to come, so its definitely worth trying to get your head around.

What is the cerebellum?
Latin for "little brain", the cerebellum is a chunk of white and grey matter that hangs off the brainstem at the back of the cranial cavity. It connects to the brainstem via three fibre bundles; the superior, middle and inferior cerebellar peduncles.
These join the cerebellum to the midbrain, pons and medulla respectively.
They transmit sensory information to the cerebellum, which in response helps control voluntary movements such as balance, posture and co-ordination of movement.
