Kerbal Space Program - Reusable Space Program - Episode 22 - Space... Garbage Truck
Continuing the base relocation while trying to organize a mission to another planet, we need to move the perimeter lighting and that means some more work for the truck and the Buran Arm, which I shall now rechristen the 'Geddan Arm'
Also.... I feel really bad that I accidently left Infinite fuel enabled (it made it a lot easier to put a bunch of balls on minmus), the mission would have had more than enough fuel but it's just not the done thing is it? I mean, if I was planning to use infinite fuel why would I have moved the fuel tanker to the tanks?
Anyway as I said, there are rewards for loyal fans as a way of an apology for this mistake, and in part to celebrate 50k subscribers. Head over here and sign up for the raffle, there are 5 winners and you have a week to enter.

Zhurong is the name given to the Chinese Space Agency's Mars rover mission, and after landing in May it's spent over 90 days traversing the surface of Utopia Planitia, looking for evidence that this might be an ancient sea bed.
As China's first successful attempt to land on Mars a great deal of attention has been given to the state of the lander, parachute and aeroshell, so we've had some fine images of those. However in general the amount of data released so far remains quite small and we expect more as scientists work on the mission.

The second part to my wormhole video project, first we have a few visuals showing what an outside observer sees when another spacecraft crosses through the wormhole or moves around near the entrance.
Secondly, there's some explanations of the geometry, the shape of the space and illustrations of the way light moves around the entrance to a wormhole.
Finally we take a closer look at the math and how to implement a raytracer to make wormholes, and how I solver problems with the original design to remove glitches make the process 1000 times faster.

This is an old Atari ST game by FTL software from 1985. It's primitive and at the same time has some neat features I've not really seen in other games.
A remake of the game for modern hardware has just reached Alpha status - http://www.sundogresurrectionproject.com/

Time for another science video - this time talking about Parsecs.
Sorry about the lousy audio, this is the microphone built into the MacBook Pro and no amount of De-Essing seemed to have any effect.

It's been a few months, but Deep Space Questions returns and there's a lot of interesting ones here, from simple historical queries about space suit designs, to hypotheticals about firehoses in space.
The questions of course come from my supporters over at Patreon, the fine people who donate a small amount to reward me for my attempts to explain everything about space, flight, physics and well anything that grabs my attention.

Last night Elon Musk posted a pair of low resolution images showing the new Raptor engine getting ready for testing at the Mcgregor, Texas facility. Raptor is a next generation design using full flow staged combustion cycle, a design which has never been successfully flown, but offers superior performance and reusability.
