The first video of our neuroanatomy series. Love it? Hate it? Let me know what you think in the comments below ?
So what is the spinal cord?
You can think of the spinal cord as a communications highway.
It receives sensory information from the receptors of the trunk and limbs, then relays this information to the brain.
On the other hand, it relays motor information from the brain to the muscles.
In some cases it can perform both of these in a split second, due to its role in reflex function.

Animation of the folding of the embryo, in the early days.
The spaces around the embryo change dramatically over the course of development.
These spaces are quite hard to visualise with only 2D images.
In this video, we’ll look at the amniotic cavity and the yolk sac in three dimensions, specifically, how they both change shape over time.

The pelvic floor, among many functions, saves our rectum from falling out our butt.
In this video I run through the basics of the muscle components of the pelvic floor, as well as some of the clinical relevance of this area.
Questions and corrections always welcome. Cheers
