My love only grew larger when the series came to a head with Star Fox 64. There were misunderstandings and missteps along the way but with Star Fox Assault I felt like Nintendo had finally gotten back on solid ground but now there's Star Fox Zero which would be a great game but nintendo forced in motion controls that have a very steep learning curve and refused to implement online multiplayer. Even with the poor controls the exclusion robs the game of a replay factor that could make the difficult of controlling the ships and vehicles featured in the game worth the effort. Not everything is doom and gloom. The game looks and sounds beautiful. It features a great amount of flexibility in vehicle modes and it's great having the old school cast back. The game is being ported to nintendo's next generation system currently code named the NX and I can only hope that they get rid of the motion controls in the port and return Star Fox to it's potential glory.
