President Donald Trump on Thursday blamed oil-producing nations of the Middle East for rising oil prices, writing online that the U.S. "will remember" the price hikes in the context of its support for the region.
"We protect the countries of the Middle East, they would not be safe for very long without us, and yet they continue to push for higher and higher oil prices! We will remember," Trump tweeted. "The OPEC monopoly must get prices down now!"
Global oil futures rose 1.8 percent Wednesday, hitting a two-month high, according to a Reuters report. The rise came after the U.S. Energy Information Administration said crude and gasoline stockpiles fell last week, according to the report.
Trump has been intermittently critical of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, a global oil cartel dominated by Saudi Arabia, a key U.S. ally in the Middle East. OPEC ministers will meet later this week in Algeria.

Democrats have all the cover they need to vote in lockstep against Brett Kavanaugh. But a half-dozen of them have refused to go there, even after the pair of sexual assault allegations against the Supreme Court nominee.
Democratic insiders are feeling more bullish than ever that the party’s 49 caucus members ultimately will oppose Kavanaugh. Yet the undeclared bloc of Democratic senators could be a problem for Democratic leaders, who want to put the weight of the nomination entirely on a handful of holdout Republicans.
“I’m very open. I haven’t closed any doors at all on Kavanaugh. I just want to make sure there’s a fair, open and civil hearing,” said Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia, perhaps the most conservative Democrat. “The man has to have a chance to clear his name, but these ladies have the complete opportunity to tell their story.”
Manchin said the allegations haven’t made him any less likely to vote against Kavanaugh than he was two weeks ago: “It hasn’t changed anything. I’m still waiting for this hearing.”

Subscribe to the channel at https://goo.gl/VjHw6T A primary purpose of the liberal media’s incessantly negative reporting on President Donald Trump and his administration is an attempt to render him toxic and utterly unlikable among not just the American public at large, but his base of support in particular.
In theory, it would become vastly less controversial or difficult to impeach Trump and remove him from office or defeat him in the 2020 election if his popularity waned and his disapproval numbers rose to significant levels.
But despite the constant barrage of malicious media reports, unsubstantiated anonymous smears and daily displays of open animosity toward him and his supporters, Trump’s approval has held steady and is actually much higher than the media would have you believe.
In fact, Trump’s approval — at least according to Rasmussen’s daily tracking poll — shows that he actually enjoys a higher level of approval at this point in his presidency than his predecessor did, despite former President Barack Obama receiving sickeningly adoring and overwhelmingly positive coverage from an ideologically-aligned media.

Israel is the only true democracy in the Middle East. Most of its neighbors are kingdoms or dictatorships.
It’s also the only Jewish state on the planet. As such, it is hated by numerous countries.
What’s worse is a movement throughout Western nations aimed at sanctioning Israel. The BDS movement is on the side of Israel’s many enemies.

If you thought you had seen the last of Obama and his cringe-worthy speeches, you were sadly mistaken…
Obama took to the political stage again last night at a rally in Ohio where he ridiculed President Trump and conservatives, calling them “radical.”
This coming from a man who’s representing a party that’s calling for the abolishment of ICE, open borders and Socialism.
But we’re the “radical” ones?

Ed Whelan may have just crossed a line he can’t jump back over.
Yesterday, Whelan, the president of the Ethics and & Public Policy Center, a conservative think tank, and an assertive supporter of Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court, took to Twitter to lay out a Hardy Boys-inspired scenario, suggesting that Christine Blasey Ford, the woman who accused Kavanaugh of attempted rape in high school, might have been mistaken about the identity of her alleged sexual assaulter. Using a mash-up of yearbook photos, Zillow information, Google Maps and Facebook, Whelan laid out a “case” that another man, a former classmate of Kavanaugh’s at Georgetown Prep—whom he named and provided a current photograph of—might have been the person Ford has in mind. After his wild theory received widespread criticism, Whelan deleted the tweets, and tried to walk back the accusation this morning.
But, if it’s false, it’s already too late to protect him against a possible defamation claim.
The common law of defamation isn’t that complicated. To be liable, the defendant must make an intentionally or negligently false statement about the plaintiff that tends to cause reputational harm, and harm must

On Thursday afternoon, CNN reported that White House aides were “stunned” by how restrained President Donald Trump had been in responding to the sexual-assault allegations lodged against Brett Kavanaugh. Another official told Axios, “Hopefully he can keep it together until Monday. That’s only, like, another 48 hours right?”
By Friday morning, Trump aides’ luck ran out.
In a pair of Twitter posts, the president attacked Christine Blasey Ford, questioning why she had not come forward with her allegations at the time of the incident, 36 years ago.

Subscribe to the channel at https://goo.gl/VjHw6T The blowback against Nike continues over their new “Just Do It” ad campaign featuring Colin Kaepernick. At least one store is selling off its Nike apparel at half price, a school is removing Nike from teams’ uniforms and fans are burning their shoes in protest. It’s not exactly what I would call good PR.
In Louisiana last week, a mayor sent out a memo banning his city’s recreation department from purchasing any Nike products. Kenner City Mayor Ben Zahn took a principled stand and seems to have declared that on Sept. 5, that “under no circumstances” should Nike products or any product with the Nike logo be purchased, WBRZ 2 reported Saturday.
The memorandum was circulated on social media, bearing the City of Kenner letterhead and Zahn’s signature. Works for me. The mayor just royally stuck it to Nike and the ban is effective immediately.
Sounds like a great place to live if you ask me. That’s one mayor that should be reelected stat. This mayor joins business owners, police officers and military veterans who are definitively telling Nike where they can stuff their brand over supporting a cop-hating Black Lives Matter social justice warrior like Colin Kaepernick.

While Lou Dobbs, the most well-known anchor on FBN, shills for the president on a daily basis, Gasparino has a difficult time with Trump’s penchant for being totally divorced from reality.
Gasparino took to Twitter to denounce the president after he falsely tweeted yesterday that the nation’s gross domestic product (GDP) growth had exceeded the unemployment rate for the first time in 100 years.
White House economist Kevin Hassett had already fact-checked his boss’s fallacious claim from the podium of the White House briefing room in response to a question about Trump’s tweet.
“So I can tell you what is true,” Hassett said. “What is true is that it’s the highest in 10 years. And at some point, somebody probably conveyed it to him, adding a zero to that, and they shouldn’t have done that.”
