Wat lief dat iedereen zo met mij mee leeft.
Ik hoor van alle kanten dat jullie naar mij vragen en mij beterschap wensen.
Dat is een geweldige steun voor me!
Ik ben nu bijna 5 weken ziek.
Het laatste wat ik wil, is dat iemand zich zorgen maakt.
Wat ik precies heb, weet ik niet, maar mijn dokter zegt dat ik het moet uitzieken.
Dat doe ik dan ook zoet, opgesloten in mijn huis.
Ik heb het benauwd, soms heel erg, ik heb bijna constant keelpijn, soms ben ik duizelig en misselijk,
soms heb ik hoofdpijn en druk op mijn borst, ik voel me ook gewoon helemaal niet lekker, ik ben vaak heel moe en alles doet me pijn.
Het duurt erg lang, en er zit weinig verbetering in, sterker nog, het is nu wat slechter geworden. Dat is heel frustrerend.
Ik mis Rapalje heel erg, mijn lieve bandleden, en ons publiek; jullie!
Ik hoop snel weer samen met Rapalje te kunnen spelen, maar geef me de tijd om beter te worden, het duurt veel langer dan ik dacht.
Het komt goed, dus geen zorgen!

How sweet that everyone has got so much compassion for me.
I hear from everywhere that people ask for me and wish me good health.
That is a big comfort to me!
I've been ill for almost 5 weeks now.
The last thing I want, is people to worry about me.
What exactly is wrong with me, I don't know, but my doctor says to sit it out.
That's what I'm doing, like a good lad, confined to my home.
I feel oppressed, sometimes strongly, I have a sore throat almost all the time, sometimes I'm dizzy and nauseous,
sometimes I've got a headache and pressure on my chest, I have an overall feeling of unwellness, I'm often tired and everything hurts.
It has been a long while, and there hasn't been much improvement, at the moment it's getting a bit worse. That is very frustrating.
I mis Rapalje a lot, my dear colleagues, and our audience; you!
I hope to be able to play with Rapalje soon, but give me time to get well, it takes a lot longer than I expected.
Everything will be well, so please don't worry!
