Fourteen months ago - on Oct. 4, 2015 – after weeks of Fiorina gaining national traction for criticizing Hillary Clinton for wiping all her emails off of her private server - we published a story on how Carly Fiorina did the same thing by ordering the destruction of 5 hard drives on her own, personal, secret server to hide the nefarious details of how she took over as CEO of Hewlett Packard. According to an article written by Jeffrey Sonnenfeld in August 2015 in Fortune magazine, Fiorina was hired by: "… a dysfunctional HP board committee, filled with its own poisoned politics, hired her with no CEO experience, nor interviews with the full board." It appears that Fiorina was pushed onto the board in July of 1999 by forces unknown. According to her Wikipedia entry: “Fiorina received a larger signing offer than any of her predecessors, including: $65 million in restricted stock, a $3 million signing bonus, a $1 million annual salary … (and encouragement) to use company planes for personal affairs.” When she was finally fired by the board in 2005, Fortune magazine reported that she had collected over $100 million in compensation during her short tenure at HP. According to a story in the Oct. 4, 2015 CapitolHillOutsider.com written by Kelleigh Neilson, a former Customer Engineer at Hewlett Packard, he was ordered personally ordered to destroy the hard drives in 2000. “My name is Charles Nielsen, and I was an employee with HP from 1/2000 until 8/2001. I worked in the Boise, Idaho Data Center. I was the sole Customer Engineer allowed to work on Carly’s private server. “ “It was kept under lock and key, and I was the only engineer allowed to work on it under the direct supervision of the Data Center Manager….” “In March of 2001, just before Carly Fiorina had taken control of HP from Walter Hewlett, I was asked to remove the 5 hard drives from her personal server and physically destroy them with a hammer.” “I asked why I would destroy hard drives that at the time were worth over $15k apiece and I was told because she said so.” “Shortly after destroying all evidence of her conspiracy to take over the company, she removed Walter Hewlett from the board of directors and made off with approximately $500 million dollars from the company with the rest of the board of directors ($100 million for Carly personally).” “All of her emails and all working documents were destroyed.” “I have kept my silence until now, when I find it highly offensive that after laying off close to 33k workers … she is pretending she would never behave like Hillary has. Good morning, I’m still reporting on Trump. Donald Trump continues to hammer Hillary Clinton in the newest Daybreak poll by USC and the LA Times. Trump has now opened up a nationwide 46.7% to 42.0% lead over Clinton as the seriousness of her health issues have now been amply demonstrated to the public. But as the poll shows the 4.7% margin is not just Clinton sinking; it’s Trump’s rising popularity as every day he proposes new, well-thought-out solutions at his huge rallies. The poll shows the effects of the two days since Clinton’s collapse at the 9/11 event in New York – a 5% swing. Yesterday, at a huge rally in Aston, Pennsylvania, Trump unveiled a new plan to lower child-care costs for working moms that was crafted in part by his eldest daughter, Ivanka. The plan included a guaranteed 6-weeks of paid maternity leave that is a departure from GOP orthodoxy. The plan would apply only to mothers and would not include fathers. Campaign officials said the maternity leave program wouldn’t cost taxpayers anything. It would be paid for through savings from the elimination of fraud in the unemployment insurance program. Child care – the bain of working women – can now be deducted from income taxes – or even returned to low-income women in the form of tax credits. The plan would be good for up to four children and elderly dependents. The plan has the endorsement of several female members of Congress. According to Rep. Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee: “This is a family issue. We know men always want more money. What do women want? More time. And we are thrilled to finally have a president of the United States who is going to put the focus on working with women to make certain you can achieve your American dream." Good morning, I’m still reporting on Good evening, I’m still reporting on Still Report #1219 – New Rule Allows FBI To Hack Any Computer Anywhere The 4th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution provides: "[t]he right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause….” Fourth Amendment lovers, beware, unless Congress intervenes before Dec. 1, the FBI will soon be given the power to search millions of computers, or cellphones at once, without you knowing it, without probable cause, and even if the FBI doesn’t know where you are, even in foreign countries. I was first tipped off to this when someone sent me a somewhat confusing report that recently appeared on Fox News concerning the new powers that the Supreme Court has approved for the FBI. [insert] What was not made clear in the Fox report was that this ruling by the Supremes was made on May 1st of this year. Apparently Fox became concerned because there has literally been no news coverage on this issue since then, yet the clock is ticking towards the implementation of the new Rule 41 on Dec. 1st. The justification for Rule 41 changes seem to stem from cases like a pornography case that appeared earlier this year in federal court in Oklahoma where evidence had to be disallowed due to Rule 41’s limitations. FBI agents identified child porn downloaders by placing trackers inside a dark-web child porn forum they had created called Playpen. However, many visitors to the porn site anonymized their locations via the TOR network so the FBI couldn’t find them to go serve them with a search warrant. When they did find them via the tracker, instead of getting a local search warrant, the FBI tried to use a blanket search warrant from a Virginia judge. So, instead of modifying their procedures, the In-Justice Dept. has been lobbying for a change in Rule 41 to allow such blanket searches. The problem is that many privacy groups believe broadening the powers of the government to search through what could be millions of computers at a time is a “Big Brother” problem. Let’s say that your computer has been silently compromised by a botnet attack. Since it is then linked in to a web of computers , the FBI could enter your computer because some anonymous evil-doer is also connected as another bot. Despite the assurances of the In-Justice Department that the change does not actually expand the powers of Rule 41, it only enhances it; According to Richard Salagado - law enforcement and information security director at Google - it will even allow silent searches by the In-Justice Department of anyone, anywhere, and all the information on your computer could be sucked in accidentally. “… the nature of today's technology is such that warrants issued under the proposed amendment will in many cases end up authorizing the government to conduct searches outside the United States.” Very few in Congress understand the issue, and the way the new rule’s implementation is scheduled minimizes Congressional ability to study the issue and respond appropriately. The election is Nov. 8. Only 10 days later, most Congress folk will be headed home for a long Thanksgiving break, many of them will not return to Washington before the Dec. 1 deadline. Of course, there is no one in the In-Justice Department who would dare to abuse their considerable powers. However still, some privacy advocates see potential problems.
