If you defeat Balnab first, Lugae will merge into the defeated robot and become Balnab-Z. Attack it quickly, because it will detonate and do as much damage equal to how much health it has left. After the battle, Lugae will transform, and during the rematch, Lugae will counter your attacks by casting a cloud of poisonous gas on your entire team, poisoning all affected by the cloud.
