Mr. Trump has, since he's been elected, lived down to the worst expectations everyone had of him. He has already been impeached, but the cowardly traitors in the GOP refused to remove him from office. I believe history will show Trump as not only the most incompetent, divisive, and dangerous president we have ever had - it will also show Trump for the criminal he has always been. And having a friend who worked closely with him, daily, for six long years (and voted for Clinton), I have heard first hand stories that would curl your hair. No fancy graphics. Alzheimer's disease and dementia affect everyone - rich, poor, famous, obscure. And it affects the who care about those afflicted. If you're of a certain age, you're probably dealing with this with a parent or older relative. Eventually, we will all have to deal with it, or those around us will in regards to us. Having our memories stolen is a horrific cruelty. If we can spend so much on weapons to secure our country, and spend so much time and effort on business and politics, can't we (as in the entire world) make a devoted effort to combat dementia in all it's forms? I mean a REAL, concentrated, cross-all-the-lines-separating-us, moon shot effort for effective treatment or even prevention? In this song, the main character knows he's going to get worse. He's starting to lose his memory, he's already been diagnosed. It's coming at him... Like a freight train. Some songs get written just because they need to be.
